Cinderella Cake

This was a pink strawberry flavored cake. I started off by per-heating the oven and greasing the cake mold and a standard round cake pan (forgot to take a pic of the round pan)

I baked the two cakes and left them to cool completely.

Once it was cold I cut off the crispy tops and stacked them with butter cream, I made a hole with a knife big enough for the top part of the doll to fit in. (I removed her legs)

I covered the cake in a thin layer of butter cream.

I made a triangle shape on the cake with a knife so that I knew where to begin and end my ruffles. When they were done I cut rectangular strips of light blue gum paste, added some pleads and stuck them to the cake. I also covered the top of the doll in gum paste. After the whole cake was covered I added some glitter to the cake with a soft paintbrush dipped in vodka.

I also made some strawberry flavored cup cakes with a strawberry filling topped with pink butter cream.

And what is a party without invitations?  I designed the template for this invitation, the mommy just added her own words and final touches.
